Questa pagina è disponibile anche in Italiano.Since 1996 the Department of Computer Science (Dipartimento di Informatica ed Applicazioni) of the Università di Salerno offers a graduate degree in Computer Science, the Dottorato di Ricerca in Informatica.
The program has a duration of 3 years. The first 2 years will be devoted mainly to course work aiming at establishing a broad and solid background in the main areas of Computer Science. For the remaining year of the program the candidate will work towards gaining depth in the specific area that will be the subject of his/her final written dissertation (thesis).
Admittance to the program is limited to 8 students. The entrance exam consists of a written and an oral part.

The chairman of the program is Margherita Napoli and the faculty consists of Luisa Gargano, Giangiacomo Gerla, Gioconda Moscariello, Giuseppe Persiano, Giancarlo Raiconi, Genoveffa Tortora, Ugo Vaccaro, Clelia De Felice, Filomena de Santis, Antonio Di Nola, Enrico Fischetti, Antonio Gisolfi, Margherita Napoli, Alberto Negro, Maria I. Sessa.
